Around the world and down the ages, "Hallelujah!" has expressed joy and praise in a myriad of languages.
In this piece it is written in the Hebrew script of the 7th century B.C.E., which existed already in the period of the Judges, 400 years earlier.

The shards of glass inlaid in this piece originate from fragments of glass vessels discovered in Israel, in the vicinity of the Mediterranean Sea shore.

This item comes with a certificate of authenticity of the Israel Museum, Jerusalem. Enclosed is a short description of its historical background in English and Hebrew.
