Prizes: 1926 Lord Plummer Prize for the paintings "My Family"; 1964 Dizengoff Prize; 1973 Israel Prize. Was in Romania during First World War. Selected Exhibitions: 1921 Anderson Gallery, New York, sponsored by Alfred Steiglitz; 1948, 1950, 1952 Venice Biennale. Served as first Israeli Ambassador to Romania. Died 1974.
